We are searching for a reliable quantity surveyor to join our capable team of professionals. The quantity surveyor will be tasked with taking quantities from the drawing and preparing of Bill of Quantity using measurement software (CostX, Planswift).
To be successful as a quantity surveyor, you should have a methodical approach and superb skills in highrise buildings, and mix used developments. Outstanding quantity surveyors are not only great at analyzing costs and taking quantities, but they also know how to use MS Office Excel with formulas while preparing reports to ensure the best possible outcome.
Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:
- Reviewing construction plan drawings and preparing quantity requirements.
- Prepare the estimates of various construction, survey related estimates.
- Read and understand the scope of work based on the Standard Method of Measurements and Form of Contracts.
- Taking quantities using measurement software (CostX and Planswift)
- Prepare the tenders and related documents.
Quantity Surveyor Requirements:
- Quantity surveying degree or diploma.
- Excellent knowledge of Measurement software (CostX and Planswift).
- Familiar with Civil services.
- Familiar with Civil measurements and quantity take-off.
- Experience in structural quantity takeoff and measurement of reinforcement using schedules.
- Experience in Standard Methods of Measurement (POMI and NRM)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work with Excel formulas.
- knowledge of BIM modeling is an advantage.
- Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and formulas on how to use it.
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
